About

THE MUHARRAM CONVENTION

The Muharram Convention is a powerful and transformative 13-day gathering that commemorates the profound sacrifice and martyrdom of Imam Husayn (a), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (s), at the Battle of Karbala. Held annually, this convention offers a deeply spiritual and educational experience that brings together a diverse, nationwide community of people from all walks of life, united in remembrance, reflection, and renewal.

Through rich sessions of spiritual reflection, scholarly discourse, and cultural commemoration, participants engage with the timeless message of Imam Husayn (a)—a message of faith and unity. The convention features inspiring lectures by renowned scholars and speakers, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and youth-centered programs designed to foster both intellectual growth and emotional connection.

Attendees have the opportunity to participate in majalis, youth programming, latmiyat, and community-building activities, every moment is an opportunity to remember, reflect, and reconnect—with our faith, our identity, and one another.

THE THEME

Every element of this year’s Muharram Convention logo carries deep meaning—rooted in love, unity, and sacrifice. From the calligraphy “Al-Husayn Yajma’una” to the symbolic red harakāt and the ship-like form of Al-Husayn, the design reflects the timeless message of Karbala and the unbreakable bond Imam Husayn (a) creates in our hearts.

This is more than a logo—it’s a story of unity, legacy, and purpose.

The logo is formed with the Arabic calligraphy: “Al-Husayn Yajma’ una” —translated as “Husayn Brings Us Together.” These words form the thematic heart of this year’s Muharram Convention, expressing our shared conviction that Imam Husayn is our symbol of faith and our source of unity.
