The D.R.I.V.E. Retreat is intended to be a fulfilling summer experience that aims to empower high school students and instill in them a sound sense of identity that will help build their self-esteem and bring a greater sense of self-worth.
Najaf Retreat
The Najaf Retreat is an initiative that was first started in 2016 by the Mainstay Foundation. It gives an opportunity for young leaders in our communities to be exposed to the rich Islamic heritage in Iraq by visiting the Holy Shrines and connecting with scholars in the Islamic Seminary in Najaf.
Scholar Visitation
Maintaining a strong relationship with the scholars of the Islamic Seminary is vital to our work. By building that relationship we are able to seek their guidance and keep them updated on the work and progress of the community.
Month of Muharram Programs
The annual Muharram program is near and dear to the heart of the community. It started in 2015 and with the Never Forget Campaign, a 10-day interactive presentation that attracted over a thousand attendees on a nightly basis – the vast majority being youth ages 13 to 19.
